This notice explains how Relyon collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use any of our products, websites, or services. It applies to individuals booking repairs, employees of fleet customers, partners integrating our APIs, and technicians on the Relyon network.
Data we collect
We collect information you provide to us — your name, contact details, payment information, device IMEI or serial number, and the description of the service you have requested. We also collect operational information generated by our platform, including job status, diagnostics, parts consumption, photos taken during service, and timestamps of state changes.
How we use it
- To deliver the service you have requested.
- To verify identity, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations.
- To process payments through licensed providers.
- To improve our products and operate quality assurance.
- To honour warranty, refund, and dispute resolution rights.
How we protect it
Sensitive fields such as KYC information are encrypted at the column level with pgcrypto. All traffic uses TLS 1.3. Access is governed by a 4-tier role hierarchy, and every privileged read or write is captured in an immutable audit trail.
Sharing
We share data only where it is required to deliver the service — with repair technicians on the network, with parts suppliers when fulfilling a job, with regulated payment providers, and with partner organisations whose customers have explicitly engaged with their integrated product. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act), you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to us at hello@relyon.africa.
Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed to deliver the service, meet our legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Audit and warranty records may be retained for longer periods where required by regulators or contracts.
Updates
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
